We will strive to make our one-of-a-kind business become an integral part of the distinctive culture of this area. As a local business, we're owned by people who directly live in this community and are totally invested in our community’s future.

We want to encourage children to eat nutritious food and we know that it will take some inventiveness. Our recipes have been carefully designed and written with even the pickiest eaters in mind in order to get your kids eating and enjoying their fruits and vegetables.
Our Founder
My kids are truly a delight and I love them dearly... but eating in restaurants is like a scene right out of a Mission Impossible movie! As a mother of young children it's important to me to be able to dine out as a family, which includes my little infant. I dreamed of a wonderful place that wasn't just kid friendly, but delivered a full dining experience that catered to our boisterous gang. Crayons just aren't enough! We needed a restaurant that was a total stress free environment for all involved, and could keep my children entertained and busy! It was also important that this diner offered a healthy menu with real food choices for my children (not like chicken fingers, mini burgers, apple sauce and celery sticks). I wanted fun music, awesome staff, yummy food, family-oriented atmosphere... the works! So, where did I find this place!?
Nowhere! Don't get me wrong... Hampton Roads offers some wonderful eateries and restaurants that are family friendly and accommodating for children... however, I couldn't find a restaurant around here that had all of those features under one roof! So I combined my love for children, my innovative and quirky ideas, my passion for healthy family living, along with my knack for small business... plus a dash of dream magic and the wonderful idea behind Yummy Garden Kids Eatery was born!
